The Al-code marking scheme is an innovative and simple idea that, we believe, gives enhanced evidential value to an area of concern throughout the country, where the supply and use of alcohol is contributing to Anti Social Behaviour.

There are two parts to this scheme which are listed on respective pages if you are a retailer or a Police officer or PCSO or licensing department

Please take the time to look at the system there is no initial outlay to set this up as most councils and police forces have the equipment already,

The scheme is aimed at shops that have been given warnings regarding the sale of alcohol, to individual shops that are targeted by the police or to those that have had staff prosecuted for the supply of alcohol in the past.  It could also be used nationwide in all licensed premises.

The scheme would be given to the retailer not only as a way of providing evidence for the police, but also as a way of reducing the problem of alcohol related crime in the area, ensuring there is no repeat sale of underage alcohol and as an obligation of the shop under the Crime and Disorder Act. 

This scheme could work in shops selling spray paints too,

After many years in the field of Anti social behaviour we have looked at some key areas and used our police background to try to devise a cost effective method to stop the supply and onward distribution of alcohol to the under 18s.

Whilst working on this Ian Whiteway and a local police Sgt Martin Alvis looked at the idea of a low cost method which was easy to use and could make an impact in any area it was set up ,
